If anyone asks me if there is a secret to losing weight, I will always respond with the same, there is no secret. However, the more I work in Private Practice the more I have noticed a trend in my patients who are losing weight and those who are not.
Those of my clients who record what they eat, in an effort to lose weight, are more likely to lose that weight and keep it off. When recognizing this trend, I looked at the literature only to be supported by a recent study published in the August issue of the American Journal of Preventative Medicine. This study of 1,700 participants found that people who kept daily food records lost twice as much weight as those who kept no records.
